About the Coaches

Francisco Gomez

is a Certified Personal Trainer, founder and owner of The FIT Potato.   His coaching experience includes Cross Country and Track and Field programs at Dublin High School, Las Positas Community College, and currently Holy Names University.

Coach Gomez holds a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology and Nutrition from Cal State Eastbay University. He is currently earning his Master’s degree at Cal State Eastbay University in Exercise Physiology with an option in Sports Psychology.

Coach Gomez believes that knowing the science of the body is as important as the psychology. He believes that you can have the best workouts, equipment, and advice available to you but in the it end means nothing if a coach/trainer cannot teach you how to change your psychology to reach your goals. Coach Gomez strongly believes this to be true based on his experience with clients which is why he has decided to pursue his Life Coaching Certification to better prepare himself to help people not only transform their bodies but also their lifestyle.

In his roles as coach and trainer Coach Gomez has assisted numerous athletes in receiving athletic scholarships and attaining success. Coach Gomez has trained clients with a variety of goals and aspirations. His youngest client currently is 12 years old and his oldest client is 81 years old.

Along with his passion for running, as well as staying fit throughout his life as a High School athlete, Collegiate Competitor, and as a Coach, he brings heartfelt dedication and a vast wealth of experience along with a delightfully energetic attitude to improve the fitness of all his athletes and clients.
